John 1:1-14
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were
made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was
life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness;
and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name
was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all
men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness
of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh
into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the
world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But
as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even
to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the
will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made
flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only
begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.
Colossians 1:15-19
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and
invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things
were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that
in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all
fulness dwell.
Hebrews 1:3-8
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person,
and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat
down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Being made so much better than the angels,
as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. For unto which of the
angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be
to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the first
begotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. And of the
angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. But unto
the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the
sceptre of thy kingdom.
